On Farm Events

WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?

Fodder + Farm is located at Gartur Stitch Farm in the village of Dykehead, about half way bewteen Arnprior and the Port of Menteith in Stirlingshire.

We can be a bit tricky to find, so always ask that you use google maps to either Fodder + Farm or Gartur Stitch Farm to ensure you don’t turn up at our neighbours’ houses!

DO YOU HAVE A FARM SHOP I CAN VISIT?

We have a small farm shop that is open during our events. Please do not turn up at the farm without prior arrangement.

CAN I VISIT OUTSIDE OF WHEN EVENTS ARE RUNNING?

As we are a busy working farm with kids (goat and otherwise), we ask that folks don’t just turn up on site outside of published opening hours.

I am coming to an event, CAN I BRING MY DOG?

Dogs are welcome, but must be on leads at all times. Dogs are allowed on walks, but not in with the goats or pigs or in the studio kitchen.

DO YOU HAVE ACCOMMODATION ON SITE?

Cardross Estate has a range of self catering glamping pods and cottages sited at Gartur.

Please contact them directly to book.

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY

If you cancel with at least seven days notice you will receive a full refund of your reservation fee. Any cancellations after this time will be non-refundable.

If we cancel for any reason, a full refund or reschedule will be given.

DO YOU CATER FOR DIETARY REQUIREMENTS?

Absolutely we do. We can cater for most dietary restrictions with enough advance notice. However, we work in an environment that handles nuts, gluten and dairy.

Shipping + Delivery

Tell Me About Shipping

We use DPD.

Because of our rural location, we have a twice weekly collection on Monday and Thursdays. Due to our distance from the depot, our deliveries are usually 2 day, rather than next day.

Once DPD has your parcel, you will receive tracking notifications, including a 1 hour time slot on the day of delivery.

Is Your Packaging Recyclable?

Our products are packaged in glass or metal jars. These are readily recyclable in your home bins.

Our postal packaging is all home compostable. Many a garden bed at Gartur starts with our old cardboard boxes!

Due to the acidity of our pickles and preserves, our labels are made of polypropylene. While these aren't widely recyclable, they are both food safe and damage resistant, limiting product wastage.

Do you Accept Returns?

We accept returns within 14 days of delivery for a full refund or exchange. The item/s must be returned in an unopened, resalable condition.  Email us at shop@fodderandfarm.com and we will get you the details you need.

When you send items back to us, please make sure it is well wrapped to avoid damage on its return to us. We can't accept liability for damage that happens on the return journey.

Gah! My Order Arrived Damaged. What do I do?

Man. We are so sorry.

We do our best to ensure that everything is well packaged before posting (our packaging tests include us kicking parcels down the stairs to test the padding).

However, if your item is delivered damaged please email us within 24 hours so we can rectify the situation. We will need a photo of the damage.

Our Supply Chain

Where do you get your ingredients?

As smallholders ourselves, supporting British farming is a non-negotiable.

We like to think of our supply chain like a bullseye. We start with what we can grow ourselves here at Gartur.

For our Long Table Feasts and other on-farm events, this is where our supply chain stops, with 85% of everything on your plate coming from our own garden and with game Lucy has sourced from the Cardross Estate we live on.

Our next step out is we work with our friends at Upper Ballaird Farm to grow our cucumbers for our pickles, cabbage for our kimchi, many of our herbs, our green tomatoes and more. All of our Upper Ballaird products are clearly marked for traceability.

All other vegetables for our pickles and preserves are sourced from the UK where humanly possible. You can read about our journey to source British cues here.

Our spices and other ingredients are mostly bought from Greencity Wholefoods, a Glasgow-based whole food worker's cooperative.

Occasionally, we have to source from further afield, but make sure to vet our suppliers and ensure their ethics match with our own.

Can't find what you're looking for?

Send us an email to tell us what's up and someone will get back to you as soon as possible. Be sure to include your order number (if you have one).
